Country singer/songwriter Derek Andrew grew up just outside of Nashville, Tennessee, and began singing as a child. Inheriting a love of music from his father, Derek picked up his first instrument, an acoustic guitar, at age 12 and almost immediately began writing his own songs. Although Derek's roots are anchored deep in traditional country music, he grew up with alternative rock dominating the airwaves. Now, with his rock-influenced country style, Derek Andrew hits close to home with his solid relatable lyrics and his up-tempo alternative edge. His years working as an EMT have given him a "no quit" work ethic and a unique perspective on life from which he draws songwriting inspiration.
With his self-titled EP, Derek has certainly found his stride. His single, "All This Time", has garnered radio play on multiple stations across the US. It's reached #1 on the "Independent Music Charts" and rose to the #2 spot on 94.9 The Bull's "Backyard Country" out of Atlanta, GA. He also just opened for Luke Combs in July 2017, Collin Raye in November 2017 and Bryan White, Jamie O'Neal and Andy Griggs in December 2017
