In this workshop we will start from the ground up constructing a stable and durable foundation. We will then use those tools to help us navigate through the inversion and arm (body) balance practice in a safe and productive manner. We will start with a light discussion on fear and how it plays an intricate part on the psyche and how we can use it to help us perform at our highest of calibers. A wrist therapy warm up followed by a stimulating practice then move into some cool ways into some inversions and arm (body) balances. From the most basic poses to some of the most advanced.
The Yoga of language is something we tend to overlook in our practice. The words we use to describe certain asanas can make the difference between holding an asana in a strong and stable manner with the breath...and in holding one struggling in a collapsed foundation gasping for breath. That's how injuries happen...physically and emotionally. So turning on the awareness and calling them "Body Balances" we then can activate the entire body and outsource the pose in an equanimous nature using leverage and engagement. Revolutionizing and upgrading our practice. Also incorporating dialogue about this idea of fear and how it weaves it's insidious threads in our everyday life and how to untangle them.
