Canberra based duo Electric Tommy Johnston (ETJ) perform smokey, electric and dirty blues classics. From Delta to Jazz, Broonzie to Hamfats, ETJ’s set list celebrates the origins of blues and the legends that produced it.
Established in 2014, this talented pair were brought together by a shared love of classic blues, a music that spoke to them in a way nothing else had. They first performed at the 2014 National Folk Festival with great success and have performed every year since. They play regularly at Canberra's blues venues including Smith's Alternative, The Phoenix Pub and they performed at the 2016 National Multicultural Fringe Festival. The duo also play gigs in Melbourne and country Victoria.
Experience again the lyrics and blues of Robert Johnson, Big Bill Broonzie, BB King and Muddy Waters, as ETJ take blues by its roots and bring them back into the spotlight.
Join us over the Falling Leaf Festival weekend when Electric Tommy Johnston will play a short acoustic set as a duo from 1pm on Saturday the 28th of April before gracing the TRBC stage that night accompanied by the Jimmy Devine on drums for a rockn couple of hours of Blues!
Tickets for the evening show will be $5 at the door while the lunchtime set will be a free performance.
