Save your Memories and your Family Stories
Protect Your Photos Before a Disaster Strikes
Do you feel overwhelmed with your photo situation? Do you have old photos that you don’t know how to care for? Do you have movies, videos and slides that you can’t watch? Are you drowning in digital photos on multiple devices? Are you worried about a computer crash or fire or other disaster where you lose your precious photos? We should all have a plan in place for protecting our most treasured possessions – our photos, important documents and videos.
Don’t know where to get started? No problem! On Thursday May 10 at 6:30 pm Cheryl Freye will be at the Turner Public Library giving a presentation focusing on photo preservation and organization. She will provide you with a process for organizing and protecting your printed and digital photos and documents as well as what to consider when digitizing old photographs, videos, VHS tapes, and old film reels. Cheryl will also talk about proper planning and precautions for protecting your photos and other media and the accompanying stories and memories.
