The Metastatic Prostate Cancer Project (MPCP) has launched and is open for enrollment. MPCP is a research initiative designed for men with advanced and metastatic prostate cancer. Based at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, the project seeks clinical and genomic data from affected men through a patient-driven study environment. Men with metastatic prostate cancer across the country can participate through a secure and confidential website comprised of a short survey, and an electronic consent form. Men who participate in the study will receive a saliva kit, which will be returned to the Broad Institute. The study team will request copies of pertinent medical records from the hospitals that provide care for each man’s prostate cancer. Men are also encouraged to elect to receive a blood kit and share a blood sample, as well as grant the study team access to archived tissue for further/future study and testing. Collected data is confidential and protected, trends are shared with patients, and anonymized data is made widely available to the research community to accelerate the development of new treatment strategies. https://mpcproject.org/home
Check out our partner ZERO - The End of Prostate Cancer project, Decode Your Prostate Cancer - Outsmart Your Tumor with a Molecular Profile
What is Molecular Profiling?
Your cancer is as unique as your genes. Molecular profiling can help doctors better understand your tumor’s gene mutations, which could unlock treatment opportunities. Your medical team may be able to craft an individualized treatment plan of targeted therapies and clinical trials based on your specific molecular profile.
Through ZERO’s Decode Your Prostate Cancer program, eligible patients with metastatic prostate cancer can access their molecular profiles for free and receive a tailored plan of care based on the mutations driving their cancers. This program is provided in partnership with Perthera, a leading company in precision medicine.

We live in a world where you can search for a book and have it delivered the very same day. Groceries, cars, hotels, and flights—all visible and accessible, right from the palm of your hand. But when you need to find the best cancer treatment, this world of access simply doesn't exist.
The way you access medical care hasn’t changed in over a hundred years. You go to the hospital or doctor’s office. You interact with a doctor. And that means the information you receive depends on where you go, who you see, and what they know. The reality is you don’t know all of your options. That’s unacceptable in the world today. And to make matters worse, the explosion of research has outpaced any single doctor’s ability to stay on top of the latest information let alone have the capacity to filter the best available treatments for you. So what are you supposed to do? Become the Driver of your cancer care.
We have recently partnered with an exciting new start-up called Driver that is focused on solving this problem of access and we encourage you to learn more about what they do! Driver is a first-in-kind consumer platform that connects cancer patients to the world’s largest and most advanced inventory of treatments. Their platform combines science and technology with the expertise of clinical staff, including oncologists and nurses and empathy of people who understand what you’re going through. Own your records and your unique clinical history, manage your care, and, if needed, request a second opinion or access the world’s largest inventory of cancer treatments—it’s like having a single doorway into a simultaneous evaluation at over 25 of the top cancer centers in the world. The best part is you don’t need to leave home to do any of it.
Driver has just launched an invite-only Beta program for our community. If you join Driver during their Beta Program, you will be among the first pioneers of a new movement that enables patients to become the Driver of their care. They are not only giving our community early access, but would also like feedback about their messaging and services as well as any other insights that you’d like to share with them. Additionally, Driver has a special offer for anyone who joins during their Beta program.
