The purpose of the Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) course is to ensure that individuals with a duty to respond (public safety professionals and healthcare providers) have the knowledge and skills necessary to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies. The course emphasizes active, hands-on learning and uses scenario activities to help participants learn how to provide CPR, use an AED and relieve an obstructed airway for adult, child and infant patients. Students who successfully complete this course will receive certification for Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers that is valid for two years. You must register yourself for the online component offered by the Red Cross. This online learning must be completed at least 2 days before the classroom session. Any questions or issues with the online component may be addressed by calling 1-800-RED-CROSS.
Complete all lessons of the online learning session and pass the online assessment with a score of at least 80%.
Participate in all course activities.
Demonstrate competency in all required skills.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
Participants can be as young as 14 years of age or older to attend this class. A valid school ID, passport, or driver's license will be needed for course registration and account security purposes.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Customers need to porivde their own transportation too and from the class. Parking is free in our parking deck and parking lot.
What can I bring into the event?
Comfortable clothing, pen/pencil, notebook, and something to drink.
