This live, full-day course will address the multidisciplinary approach to the care of patients with burn injuries. It will focus on the acute resuscitation at the scene and follow patient care into the early phases of the recovery process.
There will be a special emphasis on disaster management and early rehabilitation intervention for the head and neck that will minimize long-term sequelae. Topics will cover resuscitation, disaster management and triage, airway management and the less common, but devastating, chemical and electrical injuries.
This course is designed to offer both lecture and lab education to pre-hospital emergency responders, Emergency Department physicians and healthcare providers in an acute care setting.
Registration begins at 7:30 a.m.
