The Spring BFA Dance Showcase, titled "gr[ID]lock," is a captivating performance put on by the University of Florida School of Theatre + Dance BFA juniors in collaboration with students from the Digital Worlds Institute.
"gr[ID]lock" explores the theme of identity, specifically how it is significant in rebuilding oneself, a community, or developing a new society. These concepts will be displayed through physical movement and digital projections working together.
The showcase will be alternating between two programs held in the G-6 Studio located in the Nadine McGuire Theatre and Dance Pavilion:
Program A will be April 4, 6 at 7:30 p.m., and April 8 at 2:00 p.m.
Program B will be April 5, 7 at 7:30 p.m. and April 8 at 4:00 p.m.
Tickets are $9.00 for general admission.
Tickets can be purchased at the University Box Office, located at Gate 1 of the Stephen C. O’Connell Center. Tickets will also be available 45 minutes prior to every performance and can also be purchased online at www.ticketmaster.com.
The G-6 Studio is located in the Nadine McGuire Theatre and Dance Pavilion on the UF campus at 1800 McCarty Drive, Gainesville, FL 32603. Parking is available across the street from the UF Bookstore & Welcome Center located on Museum Road.
