This workshop begins with a discussion of the eight-fold path to yoga as compiled by Sage Patanjali in the Yoga Sutras. This brief overview of yogic philosophy will serve as the platform for the physical Asana practice where we will explore the balance of effort and ease (sthira and sukha).
Then it’s time to slow down the flow! We’ll start with a breakdown of the postures and the transitions in sun salutations allowing everyone time to create their own a strong, grounded flow. Discover new ways of refining your yoga practice by working with your own strength and flexibility. Throughout the Vinyasa practice, we will look at the foundations of alignment, default movements, modifications and the use of props to access postures.
This workshop is for all levels! Your Vinyasa yoga practice is an individual journey, so modify, adapt, adjust - allow the practice to be safe, effective and work for you. Explore your own power and freedom on the mat!
