Hold onto your wigs, grab your glitter, and get ready to raise a glass with us! The UMass Fine Arts Center, UMass Amherst Theater, and UMass Amherst Department of Music and Dance come together to celebrate the arts and the LGBTQIA+ community with a fabulous after-party following the Department of Theater’s production of Taylor Mac’s extravaganza "The Lily's Revenge," which celebrates radical acts of compassion and love, and the Fine Arts Center’s presentation of organist and LGBTQIA+ activist, Cameron Carpenter.
What to Expect at the Party:
The Lily’s Revenge team will perform an excerpt and talk about the unique costume designs and unusual demands of the script. Party guests are invited to participate in a haiku battle and write their own haikus. There’ll be student musicians performing, including a quintet from the Jazz & African-American Music program, plus refreshments, and a preview of the LGBTQIA+ arts experiences planned at the FAC next season.
