Do you need to build your career or start one? Want to meet other alumni, students and faculty members and reconnect with the University of Missouri-St. Louis Chemistry Department? We have a treat for you.
Chemistry Connections 2018 will take place on Saturday, April 28, from 2:00 - 4:30 p.m. in 303 Benton Hall and the Solarium of the Science Learning Building (SLB). The event will begin with presentations on the importance of and insight on professional networking followed by presentations on chemistry careers by experienced colleagues. The speakers will be Dr. Eric Bruton, who is experienced in ACS Leadership Development Courses and Career Programs and Dr. Lisa Balbes, an experienced Career Counselor for the ACS at the local and national level. In the second half, a panel of successful UMSL chemistry alumni with a range of careers will share their career-development insight. The formal event will close with a Q & A session where you will be invited to ask your specific career-development questions.
Finally, a reception will be held, with refreshments in the Solarium, at which several alumni role models will be available for consultation. Parking will be available in Lot Q adjacent to the SLB, on West Drive, or in the West Drive parking garage. Please let us know if you plan to attend.
