Please join Uncharted Books in welcoming writers Joshua Bohnsack, Doe Parker, & Brenna Womer for a reading of their prose & poetry!

Meet the readers:

Joshua Bohnsack is the author of SHIFT DRINK (forthcoming - Spork Press 2018) and BURNT SIENNA (Throwback Books 2017). He is an MFA candidate at Northwestern University in Creative Writing with a BA in English and Printmaking from The University of Iowa. Bohnsack is the founding editor of Long Day Press, a hand-bound chapbook publisher, a fiction editor for Triquarterly (magazine), and was a participant of the Irish Writing Program in Dublin. His work has appeared in The Rumpus, Hobart, Queen Mob's Teahouse, and others. He ran an ice cream shop in rural Illinois before moving to Chicago.

Doe Parker is a trans poet/essayist from the Bay Area currently based out of Chicago. He has a B.A. in poetry from Columbia College Chicago and has work published or forthcoming in Habitat Magazine, Pine Hills Review, Sink Hollow Literary Journal, Hooligan Mag, NoAssholes Literary Magazine, Columbia Poetry Review, Callosum Magazine, and EOAGH. He has a pet snake, loves bookbinding, and plans to spend the next year working on a new manuscript, VESTIBULE. You can keep up with him on Instagram @doe.parker.

Brenna Womer is an essayist, poet, and fiction writer in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, where she teaches and serves as an associate editor of Passages North. She is the author of ATYPICAL CELLS OF UNDETERMINED SIGNIFICANCE (C&R Press, 2018), and her work has appeared or is forthcoming in The Normal School: A Literary Magazine, Indiana Review, The Pinch Literary Journal, Diagram New Michigan Press, Booth, and elsewhere. Most recently, her essay "Wüsthof Silverpoint II 10-Piece Set" was named a Notable of the year in THE BEST AMERICAN ESSAYS 2017. You can find more at www.brennawomer.com.
