Graduate Liberal Studies, with sponsorship from the Graduate Liberal Studies Student Association, is hosting a course showcase of our upcoming GLS Summer 2018 and Fall 2018 courses. We offer this event in hopes of generating student interest in courses for early registration and to allow students to meet instructors and ask questions.
We are hoping that instructors and students for the Summer 2018 and Fall 2018 semesters will participate. Each instructor simply speaks for about five minutes about their course(s) and takes student questions. We look at this as an opportunity for you to advertise your course(s) to encourage enrollment.
The showcase is being held in Randall Library Room 2005 on April 2 at 6:00 p.m. (and will include snacks!). If instructors cannot present their courses in person or if students cannot attend, we’ll be streaming it live on WebEx and the showcase will be recorded for later viewing. Instructors can present their courses and take questions remotely. Instructions for joining WebEx will follow from Rachel Gentry, GLS Program Assistant, to those who wish to attend via WebEx.
For those who cannot attend at all, Dr. Turrisi or I will be showing students where to find course description and distributing materials on instructors’ behalf. These items may include syllabi, course schedules, and sample assignments.
Please RSVP to the calendar invite and let me know what form of participation you choose: A) in person, B) remote, or C) unable to attend, but will provide materials (instructors). Registration for Summer and Fall 2018 opens Monday April 2 and we hope this showcase encourages early enrollment in courses!
Thank you for your support of GLS!
