It's the most outrageous music release event of the year!
Join us for..
on SATURDAY 21ST APRIL 2018 from 8AM to 7PM

It's also the ultimate celebration of our favourite musical format and
will no doubt help the continuing existence of wee Independent record shops like ourselves...so basically if you love music and you love vinyl come on down and join the party!

As always we'll have stacks of just about all the exclusive RSD
releases in stock (check the list!), a lively and heartwarming
selection of performances, freebies and discount promotions on shop stock.

Once again it's been our pleasure to invite some of our favourite
local record labels, vinyl aficionados and artists down to share some
of their favourite tunes for your delectation. Expect a journey
through a plethora of musical styles and sounds from across the
spectrum...just as we love to do with our wide range of music the
other 364 days a year!

Auld Reekie's original electronic music pioneers - working as part of
Finitribe from the 80's onwards, now music producer and Finiflex
studio owner John Vick and DJ Davie Miller are working together on a new project: FINIFLEX. With a new album 'Suilven' poised for release in May 2018, and a 2nd single from that LP titled 'Bonus Freaks' just released, we're looking forward to getting a taster of what they've been up to in the studio and on stage, having done a series of gigs since 2016 all over Scotland and beyond.
These new releases may by the first in 20 years but in reality it's
not been such a long period of silence. The 'almost a secret' Finiflex
Studio Complex based in Leith, Edinburgh has continued to work away with some of the best in the genre including the likes of Justin Robertson, Lord Of The Isles, DJ Rolando, Andrew Weatherall, Sparks, and the legendary Billy McKenzie, to name a few.

Proc Fiskal

Fresh from his latest 'Hello Boss' 12" release on COSMIC BRIDGE and with an LP early awaited on the legendary HYPERDUB label later this year, Edinburgh based Grime & Beats producer Proc Fiskal joins our RSD showcase to drop a hefty selection of exclusive sounds....don't miss!

Barbe Rousse

Barbe Rousse are based around the solo bedroom output of songwriter/multi-instrumentalist/producer Alasdair Kelly’s self described psychedelic soul. Since the release of their debut album Misc. Muses they’ve been gigging constantly and shared stages with acts such as December ’91, Seazoo and Montero, along with appearing at Kelburn Garden Party this summer.
Catch him Live in store!

Main Ingredient

After remixing Marshall Jefferson and Robert Owens and playing all
over the shop last year, 2018 is already looking like another packed
year for this trio, with a slew of productions in the pipeline and a
collabo with Edinburgh legend Joseph Malik. Main Ingredient are known for combining live hardware performances with Dj sets blurring the lines between "live" and "DJ. For record shop day 2018 they'll be performing live on a slimmed down choice selection of machines from their full fat Iive set. Expect to hear tracks from their forthcoming tape release as well as a few new tracks scheduled for release later in the year. Look out for them this year at Kelburn Garden party, Terminal V, Woodland Dance Project, Audio Soup as well as all their usual parties - check out the M.I. page for deets.

50% PURE: Joe Coghill & Edinburgh Leisure

The Supermodel-affiliated Edinburgh avant-garde label 50% Pure join us to celebrate the release of 'Transit Valley' - the official debut EP from multi-disciplinary artist, musician and experimental publisher, Joe Coghill alongside Edinburgh Leisure, the mysterious group recently featured on Paradise Palms 'Bonnie 2tropical' Compilation LP.

'Ethereal pop'; 'Echo melodic'; 'A hypnotic road trip into the dark'.
Genre is meaningless. The melodious abstracted pop of Leith's SANNA speaks for itself. With their highly anticipated debut album, Carbon Compound Combinations, released later this year, 2018 could be the year of Sanna!

Simon Kirby

Simon Kirby is part of FOUND, the art collective responsible for a
BAFTA-winning emotional robot band in a wardrobe, a sound installation played by plants, and an object that remembers everything it hears. For this event he'll be playing a solo modular synth set including tracks from their most recent record: the glacial widescreen epic of Antarctic exploration, Terra Nova.

Plus exclusive vinyl DJ sets from our very good friends...
