Local 48's Diversity Equity Human Rights Committee is very excited to announce an event exclusively for ATA staff to help support LGBTQ+ students (K-12) on Thursday, April 19th.
This two-hour workshop focuses on creating more inclusive spaces and services for LGBTQ+ students. Led by registered psychologist Ashleigh Yule and a series of guest panelists, participants will review concepts related to gender and sexual diversity and learn hands-on best practices to enhance supports for LGBTQ+ students, staff, and families. Educators will feel more equipped to implement evidence-based strategies to foster safer spaces in their workplaces, homes, and communities. Optional Q & A (6:30pm-7:30pm) with Ashleigh and panelists to follow.
Catered by Stac's!
