Experience Cinderella as never before! Originally debuted as part of the 2016 Pittsburgh Fringe Festival, Many Voices, One Story explores and celebrates cultural similarities and universal themes by bringing four different versions of the classic tale to life, told as one story in alternation by women of four different backgrounds. Witness the kindness, the toil, the transformation and the reward as young heroines in Kenya, Italy, Britain, and India strive to find their princes – or their fortunes.
With doors opening at 7pm, the evening includes a 7:30 pm special performance by artists Anjali Soi, Christina McNeese, Kristin Ward and Sarah McKee. The spoken word piece, lasting about half an hour, is followed by an audience interactive talk back, where attendees are invited to share their own stories, as well as comments and questions about the project.
This Project supported in part by Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, a state agency funded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
Donations from supporters like you are greatly appreciated and help us make our program accessible to women and families of all walks of life, while compensating the hard work of local artists.
