Specific information about the concert is below:

City in Motion Dance Theater will present its professional company concert Homage on Friday, April 27 and Saturday, April 28 at 8:00 PM and Sunday, April 29 at 2:00 PM at the H & R Block City Stage Theater at Union Station. Homage refers to a special honor or respect shown or expressed publicly. This concert will honor Dale Fellin who joined City in Motion in 2004 and contributed his talents as a dancer and Artistic Co-Director through 2015. Mr. Fellin passed away in 2017. His signature piece "Anudu" set to an energetic score by Ash Dargan has been restaged in his memory.
Also on the program will be "Marimba Dreams" a collaboration between guest choreographer Laura Donnelly & Artistic Co-Director Andrea Skowronek. "Marimba Dreams", set to a composition entitled "Three Questions for Solo Marimba" by Bryce Craig, premiered at A Modern Night at the Folly on February 3, 2018. The piece for 7 dancers will be accompanied by local marimba player John Currey. Artistic Co-Director, Stephanie Whittler will be presenting two new works showcasing the simple joy and beauty of dance. After 15 years as a dancer and 9 seasons as a choreographer and Artistic Co-Director with City in Motion Dance Theater, Stephanie Whittler will be retiring. Homage is also dedicated to the beautiful work that Ms. Whittler has created and shared with us. Associate Artistic Co-Director, Amanda January, will premiere "Episodes", a dramatic piece in 3 sections to music by Amy Winehouse, Dory Previn and Annie Ellicott. Guest choreographer Halley Willcox, a former City in Motion Dance Theater member currently completing her master's degree at Arizona State University, will be presenting her group piece "A Movement Study on Peaceful Protest". Company members Francois DesMarteau and Rebecca Rooney will both be presenting new work.
