On April 4, 2018 at 5:30 pm, the Montreal community will gather together at Union United Church (3007 Delisle Street) to remember the 50th anniversary of the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. while also celebrating his life and legacy.
This will be a multi-generational commemoration not only focusing on the past, but also, to encourage continued work towards positive social change.
Various community members will participate in this momentous commemoration of music and moving excerpts from speeches of Dr. King.
At 6:01 a moment of silence will be taken at the very minute that the assassination took place.
The community at large is invited to participate in the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
