The University Art Gallery will have special hours from 11 am-5 pm this weekend for the annual Stanislaus Artist Open Studio Tour. Koichi Yamamoto's exhibition "Aspect Ratio" will be on view.
The gallery is free and open to the public and parking is free on campus during the weekend. The University Art Gallery is located in the Theatre Building (Bldg 7):
Sixty-two artists are set for this year’s Open Studio Tour! Thirty-eight locations from Turlock to Modesto to Oakdale will host guests on April 7 and 8 between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. This year marks our 8th annual tour.
Our tour booklet and map guide is your ticket. The booklets will be available throughout March and up to the day of the tour. You can purchase, for $10, your guide at the following locations:
Mistlin Art Gallery, 1015 J Street, downtown Modesto
Chartreuse Muse Gallery, 918 10th Street, downtown Modesto
Carnegie Art Center, 250 N. Broadway, Turlock
or from any participating artist
Students under 18 are free with an adult. With the map in hand, you can plan which artists you’d like to see, and where they’re locations are.
