Do you avoid talking to people who are on the opposite side of the political spectrum? Do you think the 62 million American citizens who voted for Trump are stupid and ignorant? Do you find yourself doubting if there is still truth in a world where “everything is interpretation”? Do you struggle to find meaning while traditional narratives are crumbling?
If you answered yes to some of these questions, or otherwise find them interesting to think about, then this event-series is for you.
I decided to start a weekly event, an opportunity for open-minded and intelligent discussions driven by the need for free speech and the meeting of opposing views. The sessions will have a special focus on the views of Dr. Jordan Peterson, a Canadian clinical psychologist and one of the most important thinkers of today. Every session will start with the screening of one of his online lectures or interviews, featuring topics from identity politics, liberal vs. conservative people, to the meaning in life, and psychology of religion. The second half of the session will be devoted to healthy discussions.
The first session: 3rd of April
Location: UCG bar area
Everyone is welcome; feel free to bring a friend along.
Please contact me if you have any questions or ideas how to make these sessions more enriching.
