Thursday, April 12th:

6:00-7:00pm Keynote: Passion to Reach by Michael Fossum, Jones Hall. Michael Fossum, retired NASA astronaut and US Air Force Colonel, will kick off the 2018 UST Research Symposium and inspire us to reach for our passions. He will share his personal story of how his pursuit for excellence became ignited and how he maintained and grew this fire over a decade of training and in the face of many obstacles.

7:00-8:30pm Keynote Reception and Poster Presentations & Judging, CSHP Atrium. Join us for a reception and research poster presentations in the Center for Science & Health Professions (CSHP) Atrium. Enjoy refreshments and visit current UST students at their research posters. Research topics span the sciences, social sciences, and humanities.

On Friday, UST students present capstone experiences during the day with the Honors Colloquium in the afternoon. A new career forum and multimedia session will be added this year as well!

Friday, April 13th:

9:00-3:00pm Oral Presentations & Capstones, Ahern, COC Room, Jerabeck.
Check back for a complete schedule and location for each oral presentation. Presentations are 12 minutes, and students from all disciplines participate.

3:00-4:00pm Honors Colloquium, Scanlan. This is an hour-long colloquium lead by UST Honors Program students. Each year they present on a contemporary issue with a multidisciplinary approach.

4:15-5:15pm Multimedia & Visual Arts Presentations, CSHP Room TBA
The new multimedia session highlights the creative efforts of students using visual communication. In these short film projects, students blend storytelling aesthetics with the latest visual technology to craft stories of compelling content and social significance.

5:30-6:30pm Career Panel, CSHP 251 & 252
This new session will bring three invited guest speakers from diverse backgrounds and careers to share with students their personal perspective on discovering their passions, overcoming challenges, and obtaining their goals.

6:30-7:30pm Reception and awards, CSHP Atrium
Join us for a light closing reception. Closing remarks and poster presentation winners will be awarded. This time is also available to network and meet our career panel guests.
