Hello everyone,

It is time for the third part of the Identity Dialogue Series hosted by the Human Rights Team! We are excited to announce that the third part of this series, Connectedness and Complexity: Bridging Mental Health and IDentity, will be held on April 20th at 5:30PM at University YMCA on 1801 University Ave across from the Recreation Center.

In this upcoming part of the Identity Dialogue Series, Janelle Jones, Yale and John Hopkin educated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse practitioner from Boynton will be leading us in a discussion on Mental health in marginalized communities and POC(people of color) communities. We will discuss issues such as the co-occurrence of our other identities when it comes to mental health as well as stigmatization and lack of mental health awareness in our communities.

Through activities and reflection, we will each have a chance to look deeper at mental health and wellness and how it influences us in our daily lives and effects our communities. We would love to continue the discussion of identity with all of you and hope that you are able to attend.

Please RSVP so we can order enough food for everyone!
