Hello, everyone!

After a memorable year, the time has finally come to elect our executive for the 2017-2018 academic year. If you want to be on the executive of UofT's only traveling Model UN team, and have a say in the conferences we attend, plan the socials and events we conduct, and get to know the family you've helped to create even more, then now's the time! The elections will take place on Friday, March 23rd, from 4-6PM, in UC330. Please read the following carefully if you intend to run or attend.

To run, send a statement of 400 words or less to ut.unsoc@gmail.com. This word limit will be strictly enforced. Include your full name and the position for which you are running in the email's subject line. Submissions exceeding the word count will be posted with extra words cut. The statement can include your platform for the position, your intentions for the next year, why you want to give your time to UNSOC, and anything else you see fit to include! However, images, links, etc. are best left elsewhere. A list of all the executive positions available, along with descriptions of their roles (Look below). Please note that any constitutional changes made at yesterday's AGM are now reflected in the updated constitution, which can be found on our website, (Look below) as usual.

On Thursday morning, we'll send out another newsletter with the all of the candidate statements, in addition to posting them on our website. Members can vote via absentee ballot if they're unable to be present at the election. In order to do this you must send proof of your absence (e.g. class schedule, work schedule, illness verification, etc. More logistical details on this will be provided on Thursday with the candidate statements.

After the elections, we'll be heading to a pub night social! Details are TBA, but they'll come with the candidate statements on Thursday.

We hope to see you there!
