The Holographic Lounge and Up York Gallery Space are excited to present an evening of short films by local filmmakers as an official BOFA 2018 fringe event.

Bring a blanket and cushion and cosy up in front of the big screen or pull up a pew or a chair.

Please bring along a share plate of snacks and treats, because movies are more fun with food to share!

Dress ups encouraged

If you require your beverage to be refreshed during a film, keep an eye out for our roving staff and indicate silently.

6.30pm - pre-film COCKTAILS - mosey and mingle with local filmmakers and enthusiasts over an Espresso Martini and a few other cheeky cocktail surprises accompanied by video art selected from the TIVAF the Tasmanian International Video Art Festival 2017. Non alcoholic beverages also available.

7.00pm - Floodscapes - a short film project promoting flood awareness. Funded by City of Launceston and supported by Big Picture School, Invermay Primary School, meenah neenah Cultural Program and RANT 6min

FICTION

muka - a short film by pakana woman Vicki West. Funded by Australia Council for the Arts 3.15 min

Birds of a Feather - an animation by Devalentino Productions in collaboration with Launceston's Scott Robson. Premiered in Australia at the 2016 Melbourne International Film Festival 3.28min

The Lamb - an animation by Devalentino Productions. Premiered in Australia at the 2014 Melbourne International Film Festival and in USA at the L.A. Animation Shorts Film Festival in November 2014, PG 6.23min
