History After Dark: A new Upcountry History Museum lecture series that mixes historical research with contemporary topics for a unique experience.

Thursday, April 19 at 7:00 p.m.

Presented by Dr. Elizabeth Dowling Taylor, author of "A Slave in the White House" and "The Original Black Elite."

Dr. Taylor will be exploring shifting prospects for African Americans from 1800 to 1920 through biography.

Tickets: $20 per person, 10% discount for Museum Members
