The hips are yoga’s problem child. Attend any yoga class and ask the students what area of the body needs attention, and invariably the fingers point to the hips. Whether stiff, achy and tight from too much exercise or simply the wear and tear of life, the hips are a little misunderstood, especially in asana practice.
In this workshop we’ll explore this large mysterious joint and how it moves in relation to our asana practice. Not only hip opening, we will discuss internal rotation, stability, and postures that help to strengthen the hip. Be prepared to flow, to hold poses, and gain a deeper appreciation for the hips!
