As described by Gunderson, “Based on Hamlet's ‘To be or not to be,’ Natural Shocks is a new 65-minute, one-woman tour-de-force play that bursts to life when we meet a woman waiting out an imminent tornado in her basement. She overflows with quirks, stories, and a final secret that puts the reality of guns in America in your very lap. The play is part confessional, part stand up, and part reckoning.” The reading will be presented in conjunction with Mann Woman Productions and will be performed by Actor Sheri Mann Stewart and narrated by Dr. Yvonne Singh. The reading will be followed by a panel of Atlanta artists and activists who will discuss the intersection of arts and activism. Panelists include:
• Moderator Wanda Yang Temko
• Actor and Activist Sheri Mann Stewart
• Actor and Educator Dr. Yvonne Singh
• Playwright and Actor Suehyla El Attar
• Actor Diany Rodriguez
• Documentary Filmmaker Danielle Bernstein

This will be two days after the National School Walkout, a nationwide demonstration against gun violence scheduled for April 20th, the 19th anniversary of the Columbine massacre.
