Leonard Bernstein’s music is the focus of the work of the University of Vermont Concert Choir this spring. The 50-plus student members of the group perform excerpts from “West Side Story”, “Wonderful Town” and “Chichester Psalms”, plus a whole lot more, are included on the program. All the music is composed by Bernstein, who would have been 100 years old this year. The performance includes student soloists and guest singers Sarah Cullins and Amber DeLaurentis, as well as the keyboard work of Tom Cleary, under the direction of Prof. David Neiweem, UVM’s director of Choral Activities. Admission is free and open to the public.
