This Summer Lecture Series examines the intersection of health, racism, and gentrification as it impact maternal and infant death. We have a crisis in our city, even though it is seldom seen and even less spoken of. Uzazi Village wants to amplify the crisis leading up to our Black Infant Mortality Walk on September 15th and our Annual Gala on October 5th.

This series is hosted by Uzazi Village and presented by Exective Director, Hakima Tafunzi Payne MSN, and a guest expert (TBA)

June 24- The Bioethics of Infant Mortality
July 22- The Politics of Place in Infant Mortality
August 26- Infant Mortality by the Numbers
