The first Mindfulness Training class was a hit on March 12th and so many people have told me they wish they had made it to class, so here we go we are doing it again for those that missed it.

This is the same information given as last month, but with a more interactive twist. If you would like to take the class again, you are welcome to do so at a reduced rate.

What is Mindfulness anyway?

We hear this word all over the place right now and see it on social media, but what is it and how can I understand it or even do it?

Mindfulness is the ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we're doing, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what's going on around us.

We all naturally possess mindfulness, but it's more readily available to us when we practice on a daily basis and having others to help keep us accountable. Someone or a group to help support our process into and being mindful.

Who should practice mindfulness?

Anyone can do mindfulness practice. There are no barriers. It doesn't matter how old you are, what your physical ability is, if you're religious or not.

Join Justice Wyonne and others from our Cowlitz County community to learn how to live the art of being mindful.

With is class we will learn:

1. what is mindfulness
2. How to practice mindfulness using meditation
3. Give yourself a 3 min Body Scan
4. Understanding 'Selfing' and the 'Story of me'

All of these are designed to help reduce stress, anxiety and negative emotions, cool yourself down when your temper flares and sharpen your concentration skills.

This class is to bring together a group of like minded individuals that want to learn how to create their own mindfulness practice, further improve upon the practice we already have, and to connect with others so we can keep each other encouraged and provide support when we need it.

The class is $25 and participants will receive a copy of "Present, Not Perfect, a journal for slowing down, letting go and loving who you are," as well as a 12 oz tea, chai latte, hot chocolate or apple cider.
