Come experience "Songs of a Rainbow Nation" from South Africa. These soulful songs illustrate the importance of singing in everyday life. The collection of songs culminate with a South African pop song from 1987 that features the Zulu National Anthem, which was banned by the Apartheid Government. The resilience of this culture and importance of community resonates throughout. In singing and experiencing these songs, participants will discover how powerfully this music connects us.

FREE WORKSHOP OPEN TO SINGERS ENTERING GRADES 9-12 IN THE FALL. Meet current members of the Vermont Youth Chorus and conductor Caleb Pillsbury. Enjoy light refreshments.
