Join us for this FREE Writers Theatre "From Page to Stage" event connected to 'Smart People' by Lydia R. Diamond:

RACE: ARE WE SO DIFFERENT?
Hosted by the Vernon Area Public Library - 300 Olde Half Day Road, Lincolnshire

Featuring: Joy Bivins, Director of Curatorial Affairs, Chicago History Museum

'Smart People' examines the role that race plays in the lives of four particular people, whose personal and professional lives become intertwined. To take a deeper look at the idea of race, Joy Bivins (Director of Curatorial Affairs at the Chicago History Museum) shares highlights from the Chicago History Museum exhibit 'Race: Are We So Different?' Open now through July 15, 'Race' is the first national exhibition to tell the stories of race from biological, cultural and historical points of view.

RSVPs are requested to reserve your seat. RSVP for free today!
