Join us for an evening of meditation, walking meditation, and a dharma talk on buddhist philosophy in a welcoming and supportive atmosphere. This is an opportunity to touch into our innate clarity, compassion, and wisdom through both study and practice.
This evening's dharma talk will be led by dharma holder and priest Hoshi Tokuyu. Jeremy Tokuyu Manasia received the title of “Hoshi”, or “Dharma Holder”, in August 2016. He began formal study with Roshi Pat Enkyo O’Hara in June 2003, and received the precepts and Dharma name, Tokuyu, in August 2005. In April 2012 he was ordained as a Soto Zen priest and given the Buddhist monk name, Kasho. Tokuyu has been a member of the Sing Sing prison program since 2010, and currently serves as the Village Zendo’s liturgy master.
