In this session, we will delve into the parallel between pesticides use and unconscious culture conditioning, beyond the effect on our soils and health. Exploring through connecting to ourselves, each other and the planet, the use of pesticides is a reflection of societies engrained disconnection to Nature. This work on Deep Ecology is based on the teachings of Joanna Macy.
Deep Ecology is a holistic approach to facing world problems that brings together thinking, feeling, spirituality and action. It involves moving beyond the individualism of Western culture towards seeing ourselves as part of the earth. This leads to a deeper connection with life, where Ecology is not just seen as something 'out there', but something we are part of and have a role to play in.
This will be held at the Organic Spring FAIR at Vincent's Eco-Farm to celebrate Not to Be Missed-Activities for Pesticide Free Action Week'18
