Default is back and hosting a slew of talent from near and far for a special Friday the 13th at the notorious Vinyl Arts Bar. NYC's Coriesu and Bulgaria's Dimitri Monev are coming together to give Orlando a taste of their diverse, deep grooves that will make this a night to remember. On opening duties is our own Exander and local favorite, Georg:ev.
Interests have always been interlaced with the arts going back to the days he spent at various art schools from 1997 to 2007. Hungry for further growth and development, Coriesu found himself quickly falling in love with the underground scene in the New York City night clubs. His passion for the music first manifested itself through intricate body movement on the dance floor and now through the mind blowing sounds escaping his studio speakers. Coriesu prides himself on his ability to create original patterns, funky accidentals, and his organic sound application. The journey he creates in his production is original and the vibe unmistakable.
Dimitri's productions are influenced by the deep dark beats of old school hip-hop. Aiming at the dancefloors, his third EP (Casper) got support from the likes of Richie Hawtin, Fabrizio Maurizi, Steve Lawler and more. He continued the trend of his productions as being noticed again by trend setting DJs such as Marco Carola, Luciano, Shlomi Aber, Gel Abril, Scuba and more.
His desire to give his listeners the opportunity to hear high quality electronic music and feel and understand it in different way led him to his 2011 partnership of an imprint called Alboratory. A label described with the same words with which you can describe and find in Dimitri's own sets "from deep tech house to groovy dub techno, always on the run". Alboratory has become an important part of the underground culture as is in cooperation with only well-selected various artists around the world.
The neverending process of evolution in Dimitri’s world continued in the fall of 2013 with the founding of his latest brainchild — THE NXT GEN, an event agency and vinyl label aiming to promote upcoming stars to the worldwide scene with nights involving artists such as East End Dubs, Archie Hamilton, Arapu, Seb Zito, Rossko, and Cristi Cons.
As always...Come as you are, bring somebody you love.
