Meditative Qi Gong and Tai Chi with Cris

In this class we will be exploring the Chen style silk reeling Qi Gong, Standing Meditation, as well as Chen style Tai Chi. Meditating on inner peace and relaxation, this light workout will focus on calming and combining the body, mind and Spirit. Qi Gong is a Chinese word that translates to "life energy cultivation" or "energy work". Standing meditation is good for making the mind strong, and Tai Chi is good for improving mood and getting rid of anxiety. This class is available for drop-in students and people of all levels of experience and includes am introduction into Taoist and Zen Philosophy.
About Cris Coleman:
Cris has been a spiritual investigator from his teens studying Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, and Taoism. He had his first spiritual realization during a satsang given by Micky Singer in Alachua Fl. He has studied Tai Chi and meditation with Sifu Frank Poallilo of the Tao Institute (North Carolina) as well as Yoga with Yogi Nitin Gill of Rishi Yoga (Vermont). Cris is interested in the path of self inquiry as taught by Sri Ramana Maharishi as well as a great fan of the teacher Mooji. In his personal practice he is passionate about combining and simplifying his training into one path of Tao and Zen.
