Bhoomi Habba - The Earth Festival
Visthar invites you to Bhoomi Habba 2018 on June 9th in Bangalore. Held at the green Eco Sanctuary at Visthar campus, the objective of this edition of the Habba is to increase public awareness of the environmental crises faced by our city and showcase inclusive and sustainable alternatives.
A day-long celebration filled with environment campaigns and workshops, exhibitions and shows, art workshops, theatre presentations, folk music and many more. Bhoomi Habba will promote exhibition and sale of eco-friendly crafts, organic farm produce and traditional and millet foods from all over the country. The film festival will screen documentaries and films focusing on ‘sustainable cities and communities’.
Bhoomi Habba will also feature extensive workshops on recycling, upcycling, cartoon, warli, pottery, dream catcher making, theatre and storytelling for children. Schools and parents are urged to bring children to enable them to discover the beauty of nature within the nurturing space of the Visthar Eco Sanctuary.
We offer space for exhibition of books, posters and campaign materials on sustainable development practices and exhibition and sale of products by artisans. The stall charge is Rs.2000/-(Two thousand only). Eco friendly and organic crafts and food products could be exhibited and sold .For booking stalls contact Ms. Shirley Sundar, firstname.lastname@example.org. We expect about 3000 people to participate in the day-long festival.
