Welcome to Spaceship Visual Music Systems
Boston is getting an opportunity to experience a new art form that allows abstract visual worlds to be created with the type of total spontaneous control previously enjoyed only by audio musicians. On each Fri/Sat/Sun evening between now and May 25, visual musician Bill Sebastian will be giving his first public shows since his legendary performances with the Sun Ra Arkestra over 35 years ago.
8pm and 10pm Friday/Saturday
7pm and 9pm Sunday.
The studio at Visual Music Systems at 80 Summer St in downtown Boston has been packed with graphics computers, VR headsets, and comfy sofas to allow a handful a travelers a chance to visit worlds unlike anything they have ever experienced. The audio for the sessions will vary from pre-recorded compositions to live ensembles - see the calendar at visualmusicsystems.com for the programming for each evening. Only a few travelers can be accomodated each trip, so tickets must be purchased in advance for $20 at 857-324-1149.
Each person attending the performances will be equipped with a 3D headset that allows them to be transported to the magical worlds. The audio for the sessions will vary from pre-recorded compositions to live ensembles - see the calendar below for the plans for each evening.
