Rueda de Casino (Rueda, Casino Rueda, Salsa Rueda) is a particular type of round dancing of Salsa. It was developed in Havana, Cuba, sometime between the late 1940s to the early 1950s.

Pairs of dancers form a circle, with dance moves called out by one person, who is also part of the circle.

Think of the Rueda as salsa square dancing. While the main focus is on the Rueda, we will delve lightly into partner skills, as well.

For the first-timers, here's the run-down of what will be covered:

BEGINNER RUEDA DE CASINO (Wednesdays, 7:30-8:30pm)
You'll learn all the fundamental skills you'll need to progress to my Intermediate Class:

Common calls and partner exchanges
It's preferred that you sign up and start from the beginning of the month.

INTERMEDIATE RUEDA DE CASINO: (Wednesdays 8:30-9:30pm)
Review, Refine, and Expand your Casino y Rueda de Casino Fundamentals!

Continuing what you've learned in Rob's Beginner Rueda de Casino Series:

Refine what you've learned in my previous classes
Introduction to higher-level turns and group calls
Introduction to more group moves you probably haven't seen yet

1+ years experience in Casino / Rueda de Casino, OR
Puente 2 regulars at Casino Fridays, OR
Instructor approval.

Both classes are done in a monthly cycle. No drop-ins after the first week without the instructor's green light.

Want to dance outside of a called Rueda? Rob's Casino Partnering Class is the way to go! Please note the Partnering Class is Intermediate Level only.
