Ever wonder what to do with the big fitness balls you see around gyms and studios? Join Diane McKallip for this 75-minute workshop using the big gym balls for a fun and creative work-out. Come prepared to move! You will use the ball as a prop to strengthen and stretch the entire body. The balls can be used for balance training, core development, and upper body strength. An outline will be provided, so you can create your own ball workout for home or gym. This class is open to all levels, but you must be able to sit on the ball without assistance.

Diane McKallip recently relocated to Philadelphia after 40 years in the San Francisco Bay Area. Born and raised in Pennsylvania, she moved to California after college to form a dance company. She has performed over the years with many local dance companies. After earning an MFA in Dance at Mills College, Diane became deeply involved in the fitness movement of the 1980’s. Diane loves working with people of all ages and abilities and has a special focus in working with older adults and with dancers of all ages. She teaches and leads workshops around the country. Diane holds a BFA and an MA in dance and is certified by ACE, ACSM, ITT Pilates, and the Pilates Method alliance, among others.
