"When I feed pigeons I feel like God" is one of the many epiphanies that Willy Kosovich hits on in first solo show: "When I feed pigeons I feel like God."
The bearded New Zealander chose to start doing standup in the home of comedy - Germany (if you can''t make a German laugh, you must be doing something right, right?). Now his deadpan delivery and year-round bare thighs are a regular feature of Berlin's alternative circuit.
In his hour-long show, global politics gives way to the eye-bleedingly banal; like Berrocca tablets, bacteria and whether Australians have threesomes with Kangaroos. Dominating the stage with an awkward confidence, Willy, the big ball of weird, takes the audience through the surreal world that is his mind.
Back from Berlin for one show only, he's an odd one. Buy him beer.
