For over 50 years, WACOSA has been providing services to people with disabilities in Central Minnesota. Starting as a grassroots organization by parents seeking support for their children with disabilities, it has grown over time to serve more than 600 adults with disabilities each year. The clients primarily live in Stearns, Benton and Sherburne counties, with site locations in Waite Park, Sauk Centre and Whitney Senior Center in St. Cloud. WACOSA is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization governed by a 12-member board of directors. An array of services are offered to help adults with disabilities work at one of WACOSA's sites or in the community. Regardless of ability level, clients are offered programs that include personal choice, with a focus on building skills and finding work.
The Young at Heart group will be able to learn more about WACOSA and its services when we meet at 320 Sundial Drive, Waite Park, on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 10:00 AM. After the meeting and tour, we will get together for lunch at Culver's.
