Join us for a prenatal yoga workshop aimed at equipping expecting moms with pregnancy wisdom and some yoga tools you can use in prenatal classes, your regular yoga practice, at home, in labor and delivery, and beyond!
With the OK from your doctor, you can continue many physical activities you loved to do before your pregnancy. For many expecting mamas who already had a steady yoga practice pre-pregnancy, you might be looking for ways to modify in your regular classes or home practice. If you haven’t tried yoga before your pregnancy, be ready to fall in love with this mind-body practice that not only makes you fit and healthy, but also calm and optimistic.
In this workshop, we will cover:
- An introduction to prenatal yoga, the benefits of yoga during pregnancy (and after!), and physical and emotional changes by trimester (and what that means for your practice)
- Pranayama (breath work) for relaxation, and labor and delivery
- Modification of asana (postures) and using props to modify
- A brief overview of how we will expand on these areas, and more, in our upcoming Prenatal Yoga Series
We will end with a brief sharing and Q&A session, and a relaxation.
