WHAT IS YIN YOGA
Yin yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga with poses that are held for longer periods of time, from between 2 and 5 minutes. These poses apply moderate stress to the connective tissues of the body—the tendons, fascia, and ligaments—with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. A more meditative approach to yoga, Yin aims at cultivating awareness of inner silence, and bringing to light a universal, interconnecting quality.
This 90 minute session will look at stretching your body and calming your mind, and is the perfect balance to your yang practice. Poses can be challenging, and each yogi is encouraged to find and work to their own edge.
