Join us on April 21st for an all day event where we celebrate Earth Day, our community, and the world's best beer. This will be an all day event that pairs a local clean up hike with the launch of our collaborative Reformation Brewery beer in our hometown of Clayton.
To start the day, we will be partnering with the Earth Day cleanup event hosted by our friends at Keep Rabun Beautiful. We will meet at Clayton City Hall at 8:30a. We will then head out to Darnell Falls and the Darnell Shooting Range on U.S. Forest Service - Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forests land for a cleanup event. We will wrap the cleanup by 11:30a to allow everyone the opportunity to take a break, grab some lunch back in the city, and explore the area. We will reconvene at the Wander North Georgia store at 3:15p in preparation for a good old fashioned pub crawl that celebrates the launch of Nolan the Wanderer, the new collaborative beer between Reformation Brewery and Wander North Georgia.
Feel free to come for both the cleanup event and the pub crawl or just the cleanup or crawl. However, if you are at Clayton City Hall as part of the Wander group by 8:30a, you will get a free Wander North Georgia t-shirt AND a Keep Rabun Beautiful t-shirt.
The schedule for the Pub Crawl is as follows . . .
3:30-4:15 | Fortify kitchen and bar
4:15-5:00 | Clarks' on Main
5:00-6:00 | Universal Joint Clayton
6:00-until | The Wicked Pig
We will have a drink at each participating restaurant before moseying on down to the next spot. A huge shout out to Reformation Brewery for setting this up with so many of our great restaurants in town!
Access to a hot shower will be available if you'd like to cleanup after the hike and before the Pub Crawl but please bring your own towel and toiletries.
Other than that, please bring a pair of gloves as the area we're cleaning up needs a lot of love. Trash bags will be provided.
