IPAF'18 presents festival artist-in-residence Emir Erkaya who will present his exhibition "NOCTURNAL".

NOCTURNAL

The night creates an interconnecting habitat for some people.

They hunt feed and find each other at night.

Their passion, weaknesses and wars pull them together.

This project is a celebration for the Nocturnals.

Emir Erkaya is a Visual artist, lives and works in İstanbul. He is practising mainly painting, photography and digital arts. His paintings are often inspired by contemporary politics such as scandals and affairs within Turkish Political History and people who are being challenged because of their political identity. His works are also a direct response to social situations such as observing a number of homeless people living on the streets of the cultural centre of Istanbul or portraits of people from the queer sub-culture. His works have been exhibited at curated gallery exhibitions in Turkey and England.
