Join us for a weekend of WWII gaming set in the Africa theater hosted by Graeme, using a set of custom rules.
As such I'll hand over the Graeme to explain the basics!
The Rules, in a nutshell.
Jack's War is an 'action counter' driven set of rules which breaks up each player's phase into six sub-phases, each of which represents ten seconds of combat time.
Each sub-phase is alternate, and driven by a series of 'permitted action' counters.
They are designed with speed of action in mind, but also aim to represent the chaotic, unpredictable nature of combat.
Sat 7th April / 11am - 16:00(ish)
"What's in the box!?"
Axis assault against Allied prepared positions on the Tobruk perimeter.
Sun 8th April / 11am - 15:00(ish)
"Run Ramcke, Run!"
Following the Axis defeat at El Alamein, Ramcke's Fallschirmjäger Brigade are cut off and dispersed. One beleaguered section, having stopped briefly in search of supplies at a remote train halt, find themselves surprised by an Allied platoon and are forced to make a hasty defense!
Anyone wishing to take part can simply turn up, as all the models and terrain will be supplied but ideally we'll be looking for one main commander and a subordinate for each side.
