Meet at the day parking area 11 a.m. Shoes recommended, gravel tread on trail, some cement on bridges. Discover Pass required. Will ride about 4 hours, out and back, this is a rail to trail conversion trail. Multi use trail, bicycles, hikers, other horses possible on trail. Bring a lunch.
Directions: ( Per Kim McCarrels Riding Southwest Washington Trails, pg.215) :
From I-5 take Exit 77 (Chehalis Exit) go west on HWY 6 for 17.3 miles. Turn right on Chandler Rd. and in .03 miles turn right on Leudinghaus Rd. Follow it 0.8 mile and turn right into park. Veer left and follow the signs to day parking. For day use parking, continue past the horse and group camps, Per park officials ignore the sign that says, no horses beyond this point, and drive to the gravel lot adjacent to the picnic area. Please clean up after your horse.
