Mark your calendars for this year’s “Love, Laughter and Sharing” Women’s Tea, which will be held May 19, 2018, from 11:00 am to 2:30 pm at the Water Resources Education Center, 4600 SE Columbia Way, Vancouver, WA 98661. Tickets will go on sale Sunday, April 15, after the 8:30am service. Tickets are $30 each and available until sold out. If you know you will not be in church that day, make plans for someone else to get your ticket! Come enjoy a special outreach event to support some amazing local and global causes and invite your community friends and family members to some afternoon tea!
The local benefactor is Prevent Together, a local nonprofit that focuses on teen drug, alcohol and suicide prevention through education and active community involvement that includes both teens and their parents. The global benefactor is Days for Girls Sewing Enterprise under the umbrella of the Kenyan Health Care Initiatives, Inc. Their goals are to empower young women to create self-sustaining micro businesses and to provide clean drinking water to 7 local villages in Kenya.
