Our tutor, Al Lubel, has supported legends ranging from Bill Hicks to Jerry Seinfeld and has been kindly advised by George Carlin.
The "Early Bird" price of £55 is available until 11pm Monday 28th May and then the price will increase to £75.
In front of the students, Al will perform the set he delivered on “The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson” and analyse it. Further, our tutor will perform one his sets from “The Late Show with David Letterman”, break it down and talk about what he might have done differently, all with input from the students.
Students will be able to raise their own comic premises and thoughts and Al will show how to delve into them, find a different angle and draw out the some of the most promising and fresh funny. Tightening up those premises is very much a practical focus of the day.
Students are invited to bring a 3 minute set that they can perform for Al to comment and advise upon, offering insights on how to improve and punch-up existing material.
Al has won many awards including the Amused Moose award for best solo show at the Edinburgh festival and is able to offer plenty of tips on how to make the most of a trip to the Fringe, errors to be avoided and how to make the most of your experience.
The day will end with an open Q&A session where students will have the privilege of asking Al anything they want to know about (at least regarding comedy) from an American industry veteran who has many a mighty tale to tell.
The day is to be practical, funny and informative with lots of laughs assured as Al Lubel packs your mind with things you did not know you needed to know.
